En este artículo se analiza el potencial del ordenador y del software en la investigación
educativa. Para ello se han distinguido tres modalidades de uso de la informática en la
investigación cuantitativa principalmente: los cálculos matemáticos de medidas de tendencia central, de variabilidad y de significación estadística; la corrección informatizada
de las respuestas a distintas pruebas; y la aplicación de pruebas mediante ordenador,
a través de software específico.
This paper reflects on the use of the computer and softwares in educational research
analysing the most used three types of using data processing: mathematical calculations
stadistic measures, computer as corrector of answers and application of tests
through computer with specific software. The author questions the power of all of
them, questioning even the use of computer in educational research.
